    This just in, in the next 12 months everyone reading this will get a letter from their phone carrier saying they’ve been involved in a data breach and all your PII was stolen and sold on the dark web.

    Don’t worry they’ve included a free year of credit monitoring from a company they recommend.

    Which is like going to the guy that just robbed your house and asking if he has any recommendations for a good furniture store.

      Part of those cybersecurity requirements is the company’s duty to inform you that your data was stolen in a breach. What makes you think you’ll be informed?

      It’ll be Experian, and you’ll get ten times as many emails trying to get you to sign up for some credit card than anything related to your credit status.
