There are a lot of Christians of many different varieties. None of the Christians I know would agree with conservative Americans.

I don’t, but the various books in the Bible were written in specific times and contexts, often times when slavery was common. The bible puts limits on slavery, says at various places to release slaves after 7 years, to pay them, to treat them well.
One place in the NT that deals with slavery (and is pretty controversial because of that), is when Paul sends an escaped slave back to his master, with a letter to the master telling him to treat the slave as a brother, because they’re brothers in Christ, both children of God.
Paul was trying to spread Christianity in Greece, where slavery was very common, and outright condemning it would probably make a lot of Greeks reject it. There are a lot of places where you can see Paul being very pragmatic about stuff as long as it helps spread the Word. So I guess “here’s you’re slave, but remember he’s your brother” is his compromise with slavery.

Love them? But also counter their false teachings. Loving the people they mislead or hurt, and save them from harm.
As a Christian, I’m utterly disgusted by how these people are perverting my religion that’s supposed to be all about love for others. For your enemy, even.
Feed the poor, shelter the homeless, heal the sick, visit the imprisoned and welcome the foreigner. That’s how we will be judged, according to Matthew 25.
The pervert the words of Jesus. First the Prosperity Gospel, and now this.
Hours is enough to empty them. If I see them parked in front of our house late in the evening, I don’t think they’re going to go out anymore today. It’s far more likely that they forgot to turn them off than that they intentionally kept them on.
Fortunately, they rarely flash, but burn continuously. I think the flashing ones are illegal here, and they can be super annoying.
Atop being so negative about slavery, because we want to bring it back.
Good man.
I do the same, but with bicycle lights that people have left on. I know how annoying it is to find your battery empty.
I don’t think any CRPG is RP heavy. I don’t think it’s possible for a computer game to roleplay. Well, maybe if they integrate LLMs? But generally, any RP happens entirely in the player’s head.
I think CRPGs that are sometimes seen as RP heavy, are just very well written. That’s not the same thing, although I suppose it’s possible for good writing to inspire RP in the player. But that depends as much on the player as it depends on the writing.
I enjoyed the original VTMB a lot, mostly because of its excellent atmosphere.
Return them. Give someone else the chance to enjoy them too.
My library doesn’t charge late fees for children’s books, but does for other books.
I’ve got to upvote you for “climate couscous”. Sounds delicious.
I only got my driver’s license because my wife insisted on it. She didn’t want to be the only one to shuttle the kids around. So I got my license and shuttle them around on my cargo bike, and then teach them to ride their own bike. I still rarely use the car. When we go anywhere by car, she insists on driving.
I would really love to see one, but there is none. The Greens and Libertarians aren’t it, and the America Party certainly isn’t it.
There should be a broad party with just these four issues:
Run good, credible candidates for every seat on every level, and I don’t see how you can lose.
Well, unless the media ignores you, which will probably happen.
Republicans rarely have a majority of the congressional votes. They get their majority in Congress from uneven representation and gerrymandering. In proportional representation, they’d lose their majority.
It is different, and I would indeed argue it’s better. And let’s face it, you are mostly voting for parties anyway. How many independents are there really?
But if you want to have district representatives, you could do a hybrid system where half the seats are assigned by district, and the other half are assigned from a national list to fill out the proportionality.
Republicans would be getting most of their seats from districts, Greens and Libertarians would get them entirely from the national list, but at least they’d get representation.
Anything to punish pregnant women.
In fact, the US actively opposes the ICC and has made Microsoft block the chief prosecutor’s email
Very well documented is the fact that in the 1980s, Israel supported Hamas to undermine the PLO, because the PLO wanted a two-state solution and Hamas and Israel did not. Hamas has long provided Israel with the excuse to keep escalating.
Star Wars being incredibly prescient.
Oit of control capitalism was the one thing that made him lose his temper.
And yes, “love the sinner, hate the sin”, but also protect vulnerable people from harm, and a lot of those conservatives are explicitly looking to hurt people.
