I’ve recently realized (thanks to another Lemmy discussion), that I have no joy, passion, or happiness left 🤣

I want to live vicariously through the collective! What’s bringing you joy, happiness, and/or what are you passionate about.

Let’s keep this safe for work 🙂

As always, thank you all so much for answering my questions! I hope you everyone is having a great day!!

Seeing my kids happy and growing as a parent. I’ve put a lot of effort into learning better parenting and better understanding my neurodiverse kid. I’m really pleased about the progress I’ve made, but equally I’m getting increasingly horrified at how bad I used to be.

Making something. Building wardrobe, making a desk, soldering a custom keyboard kit, making a DIY hitbox game controller, put together a gaming PC, put together a home server, made a website, wrote some support material for younger people giving exams in my professional field, etc.

Or learning about things. Reading non-fiction books, watching educational youtube channels, listening to podcasts, learning to use Linux, etc.

    Achieving something meaningful at work.

Do not dwell in your past mistakes if you are a better person now and have grown/learned from them. It’s not worth bogging yourself down over!!

Sounds like you pretty solid in the tech/geek space, those are all really cool achievements.

Linux will be easy once you get a feel for it. It’s way easier now than it was was 20 years ago!!

      Appreciate you sharing!
