I also assumed that you were making a joke about factorials.

I decided to make my own joke about “!=” in your joke being misinterpreted as the programming symbol for “not equal”.

My statement should be read as “0 is not equal to 1”. This is a vacuously true statement, as it does not rely rely on any input, and is always true.

I don’t see how the vacuously true statement 0 != 1 has any relevance here.

Electric cars are the best solution available for people who live in car centric areas and can’t afford to build their own train line.

We should also be trying to get walkable neighborhoods and adequate public transport, but I will very rarely tell someone not to replace their car with electric. It really is much better than the available alternatives.

If it was, they wouldn’t spend large amounts of money housing taken children when a small amount of money to the family would fix more.

Mistakes happen. Even the best of parents can forget their child for a few minutes. Not being accustomed to transporting children makes these kinds of mistakes so much more likely.

I don’t blame the person who did this. I blame the system that allowed this situation to occur without any safety checks.

School bus drivers need to walk to the back of the bus before leaving. This is an example of a system that has been improved to prevent simple mistakes from having disastrous consequences again. If the person responsible is fired and nothing else changes, then we’ve learned nothing, and it will happen again.

The system must be improved to prevent this happening again.
