

Oops, my comment might not have been clear. You are onto what I was meaning. My spouse and I share a Spotify Duo account that was linked to our Facebooks until recently when I deleted mine. Spouse still has hers linked. We have been paying subscribers for years now, so I was wondering if that combined with having a billing address on file would be enough to avoid age verification. We aren’t trying to access mature content, but I don’t want to have to delete my account to avoid uploading a facial scan or government ID to anyone lol.
Great article! Thanks! Couldn’t agree more that the age verification moves (Zero-knowledge or not) are bad news for everyone’s privacy. It is certainly a tool for constructing infrastructure to control the internet beyond “protecting children”.
