Parents worry about their kids. All mammals I’ve ever heard of do this. So when you tell human parents that they can have a better chance of finding their kids if their kids are missing, injured, or abducted, that’s going to appeal.

I suddenly had family and friends warning me about a tsunami here in the PNW last night. Haven’t heard of any flooding or anything so far.

Still, I’m grateful that at least for now we have warning systems in place.

They fire h1b folks too. I remember in 2014 when they fired several thousand people one guy from I dis was a new dad and suddenly he had no job and a deadline to find a new job that would “sponsor” him or else he and his family had to return to India. It was like 90 days or something. I still think about him sometimes and hope he’s ok.
