I second Mint. It’s super easy to install (even when dual booting), has a UI that’s fairly similar to Windows so it’s not too hard to navigate, for the most part just works, and because it’s so popular there’s a huge amount of information online. I’d recommend Cinnamon for the same reason as it’s the most popular edition.

I hear the total solar eclipse in 2027 is going to be quite spectacular. Wouldn’t want to die and miss it.

Changing the post title, content, and author to something like “[deleted]” while keeping comments visible should be sufficient.

I wouldn’t say five seconds before totality is boring; you can look up and see the tiny sliver of Sun as it winks out of existence, and see shadowy ripples on the ground from differences in air density. But that’s still nothing compared to totality.

I think deleting posts is an important feature, but it should only remove the content of the post, not hide the associated comments. The post is created by the OP, so they should be able to remove it, but comments are created by other users and so there’s no reason why the OP should have the power to remove them.

Hmm, that might work. You don’t need a nuclear explosion to set a supermarket on fire so it would be a lot easier to test!

This is not true, for the same reason you can’t bake a batch of cookies at 2300 degrees for 1 minute instead of 230 degrees for 10 minutes. I imagine delivering the amount of heat required to bake a pizza in the microseconds of a nuclear explosion would vaporize a substantial part of the explosion-facing side of the pizza while leaving the back frozen.

You shouldn’t judge a book only by its cover, but the cover can give you a lot of information about the book.
