But a blanket ban is not the way to go. Especially since it will most likely just lead to age verification and all the issues that brings.

What’s the source for this programme scoring individuals ? Per the EU project description, the target is specifically communities at large rather than individuals.
The DPC is about to hire a former meta lobbyist to lead their organisation. They can obviously not be trusted to uphold EUs privacy laws.
Definintly make sure you vote for people that don’t support chat control in the EU elections but also make sure to do the same in national elections!
Currently the vote has not reached the EU parliament. The discussion is ongoing between the countries permanent representations / governments rather than elected MEPs as far as I understand.
