That is the entry to your late 30s, which is really the opening segment of your 40s. So you jump from 20’s to 40’s when you turn 35. Two decades of aging in a single day. Ouch ;).

Maybe it’s just me and maybe it’s that my experience is quite old, but I would say it is not worth messing with dual boot if that’s what you’re thinking. It can be a big hassle to get working, and has some chance of screwing up your Windows side during installation.
Instead, buy a new SSD or hard drive and swap it into the place of the old one, then do a clean single-boot Linux install. I prefer Debian MATE which has a Windows-like UI, but again there are lots of choose from. If something goes wrong or if you don’t like it, you can swap drives again and be back where you started.

True but OP’s question was about dating apps, where the other person is shown your picture and prewritten blurb, and spends at most a few seconds deciding whether to swipe left or right. I can very easily understand a swipe-right ratio of well under 1%. So I think the question was about how to get past that.
Never used any apps but I’ve gotten some decent connections and a few meetups from craigslist (back when when it had personals ads) and (believe it or not) more recently, reddit. Just write literate messages that are responsive to what the other person wrote, instead of being generic.
Also, proofread your responses very thoroughly before sending. Make sure that the grammar and punctuation is all perfect. The slightest error can be a huge negative in how well your response is received. Why is that? I don’t know. But I’ve seen multiple people comment on this. Some have come out and told me that they responded to me because of it. It really matters.
Reddit has apparently just ditched its PM system in favor of a chat system. That seems pretty terrible for those of us who prefer to write carefully.

Apparently, Atlanta is doing it.[1] I hadn’t heard of this idea before, but web search shows it is a thing. I’d consider it socialism if he also wants to close down the privately run grocery stores. I just have a bunch of media files (.ogg, .mp3, etc.) in directories and play them with mplayer from the command line. Playlist = shell script that plays some group of files. I use old school track numbering (01-whatever, 02-whatsit, etc.) though, so most of the time “mplayer *” is how I play an album and the tracks play automatically in the right order. I don’t understand the purpose of anything fancier. Now get off my lawn.
No I don’t use that kind of social media. Sometimes I hear indirectly that people I knew in HS are on it though.
