It’s not entirely physiological. It is also very much a psychological phenomenon as well. For example, seeing someone else yawn is more likely to make you yawn. Hell, talking about yawning is more likely to make you yawn. In fact, if you’ve spent any time in this thread, you’ve likely yawned already.

Crazy talk. A&W in the US is ass. I don’t know what’s going on with your local A&W franchise, but I’ve never had anything but a great burger. Outside of local places, It’s my go-to.

You have to specify A&W Canada. The US doesn’t have Teen burgers and they’re generally inferior.

In a lot of Canadian cities, seasonal patios like that are super common. Patio season is limited and Canadians love eating outdoors when the weather is good, but it’s obviously 3 season infrastructure in a country like Canada.

Keeping the sidewalk clear isn’t really an issue, since nobody wants to have foot traffic buffeting their table. In some cases, the patio takes up the sidewalk, and the sidewalk is diverted around the patio with a wooden boardwalk. It’s so common that there are businesses that do nothing but supply pop-up patios for businesses.
