“Never forget” is great and all but from a German perspective it seems to not be enough. It is much more important to make sure the same or very similar things do not happen again, not by China and not by any other nation. Otherwise you end up like we did here in Germany where decades of “never forget” lead to very similar sentiments being expressed by a new major party but since things are slightly different (e.g. the “never forget” was always phrased to be about Jews, this is more about foreigners in general) people seem to allow themselves to ignore them.

I wasn’t the one who used the “the armed left is preparing” argument in a public forum. I just consider it a stupid argument to use if there isn’t any evidence that that is happening.

Guns are pretty much giving the government the excuse to just shoot you as a crazy gun nut (or extremist group,…) and shoot you without any morale repercussions in the people they use to do so and without any PR nightmare in the greater population for them.

But, more important, why does every motherfucker shooting their mouth off about this think that you win a fucking civil war by just going out and shooting things? Like, does nobody get that attacks need useful intelligence, planning, logistics, transportation, and it can’t be out in the open, you gotta either fight it guerilla, or you’re just dead.

Exactly the point of everyone who ever pointed out that your guns are completely useless if your government ever goes off the rails.
