“With Hamas controlling nearly all media in Gaza, these photographers aren’t reporting, they’re producing propaganda,” the statement said.

“This investigation underscores how Pallywood has gone mainstream with staged images and ideological bias shaping international coverage, while the suffering of Israeli hostages and Hamas atrocities are pushed out of frame,” it continued.

“They are intended to overwrite the brutal images of the Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023. Many people don’t even remember these pictures,” Paul said. “Hamas is a master at staging images.”

Much better since it doesn’t try to use one photo out of hundreds to try to downplay a major humanitarian crisis.

However, regardless of Mohammed’s illness and the nature of the photo, it is true that people are starving in Gaza, as repeatedly reported by reputable media outlets and humanitarian aid groups.

The boy’s mother, Hedaya al-Muta, has spoken to the media to confirm her son’s medical history, but also of their lack of access to medicine and food. She added that Mohammed’s weight has severely declined.

Sorry no I was referring to @Skiluros@sh.itjust.works crying about the source

The boy’s mother, Hedaya al-Muta, has spoken to the media

Cool, maybe she should tell them to speak to Hamas ? Why is Hamas using her as propaganda?

A widely cited example is from Mousa Abu Marzouk, a senior member of Hamas’ political bureau. In interviews in October 2023, when questioned about why Hamas had built extensive tunnels for its fighters’ protection but not bomb shelters for civilians, Abu Marzouk replied that the tunnels “are meant to protect us,” i.e., Hamas members, rather than civilians.

"We built the tunnels because we have no other way of protecting ourselves from being killed in airstrikes. We are fighting from inside the tunnels… Seventy-five percent of the population of Gaza are refugees, and it is the UN’s responsibility to protect them."

Oh right, because Hamas doesn’t give a shit about its own civilians :)

Viet Cong also had tunnels below civilians infra. Would you have blamed viet cong or american occupation? Do you think viet cong tunnel didn’t protect viet cong rather than vietnamese civilians?
