You have made one (1) mistake. Turn to page 154 to learn from it, or turn to page 302 to instantly start fantasizing about aliens ending it all.

I own a self-driving car. (I got it like 8-9 years ago when I thought the CEO was probably similarly as bad as other car company CEOs. My bad.)

Anyways, when driving, my car makes mistakes, but unlike humans, it seemingly always makes the same kinds of mistakes. And while the mistakes it makes are dumb, I am confident that the mistakes I make while driving are typically more dangerous than the mistakes it makes. Therefore, I try to let it drive as much as possible, and I typically pay as close of attention as I can not only to correct its known types of mistakes, but to correct any possible dangerous mistakes that I might not currently know about.

If the people who programmed and trained it would get their heads out of their asses, I could imagine a future where my car would not make any mistakes that I would notice while driving itself.

The point being, it’s not aliens that we should be worried about. Some unknown enemy is very easy to be scared of, but we are currently very close to making that very thing ourselves right here on Earth.
