Police to question man they say supplied parts of gun used in NYC shooting, commissioner says

Shane Tamura killed four people at a Manhattan office building Monday, including Blackstone executive Wesley Lepatner and New York City police officer Didarul Islam. The head of the NYPD said investigators plan to question a man who supplied parts for the gun that was used in the attack.

Tamura was targeting NFL headquarters: Investigators believe that he was trying to target the headquarters of the National Football League, but took the wrong elevator, Mayor Adams said. A rambling note found on his body suggested he had a grievance against the NFL over an unsubstantiated claim that he suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
