Severe turbulence causes emergency landing, 25 injured.
This title is designed to make us go see “what corporate fuckup happened now” when this has nothing to do with the carrier.
Just gonna be more and more turbulence as the climate crisis gets worse. Keep your seatbelt on unless you’re going to the bathroom. Or don’t fly.
This is why you’re supposed to keep your seatbelt on unless you are getting up. Yes, even when the seatbelt sign is off. The seatbelt sign being off means it is safe to walk around the cabin; it doesn’t mean that you can keep your seatbelt off while seated.
Sounds like we should change the symbol from a seatbelt to something else if it causes confusion like that.

(14yr flight attendant here, I’ve been taken by surprise with the seatbelt sign off more than once)
Mmmmm, one wonders how they didn’t know that there would be such extreme turbulence… One might almost be tempted to think that the US government dismantling of everything, including NOAA might not have been the best idea?
