      That one got to me. There is a strong reason to believe the Reichstagsfire was a self incited crisis to justify a power grab. Why do people think this is a good comparison?

        I mean, they’re openly saying it’s like that, therefore they should seize emergency powers

        Might as well admit they’re fascists. They’re also picking the most hated fascist regime in history as their example to emulate

        Honesty seems likely. I feel like a leftist would go after someone more important but it could have just been an opportunity/access thing like he happened to live there or something.
