In my case, it happened when my son was just six months old and I learned that the supposedly “organic” baby food pouches that he was addicted to were, in fact, chock full of carcinogenic heavy metals that have been linked to numerous neurological disorders, including autism.

… I’m immediately more skeptical of this.

Found the link to the study in the article for those who wanna go to the source: https://cdn.wildapricot.com/220571/resources/Documents/Jama_Child Mortality.Forrest_2025_oi_250043_1751296932.04615.pdf not sure if it supports the premise yet.

The U.S. government has made it pretty fucking clear that children’s lives don’t matter.

And I mean like really rubbed our noses in it, like a dog that shit on the carpet.

A child only matters to a repugger before they’re a child—not born yet. After that? “Go fuck yourself”.

And of course this is in the US again. What a fucking godawful place to live! Why would anyone in their right mind chose to live in such a third world shit hole where every company is out to fuck you over just to get an extra penny out of you?

Seriously, what went wrong? Why do US citizens actually believe that anything about their country is remotely normal, let alone “duh best!”? Have you all been so collectively brainwashed that you don’t know right from wrong anymore? Wait, don’t answer that…

And now that the grand Cheeto is turning the entire country into Nazi Germany, Americans still can’t be arsed to get off their asses and do something about it. You know, Americans, those larger than life types that will always do what’s right and sacrifice their own lives to save the day and the world? Yeah, even a fucking protest is too much to ask. And before anyone posts “but muh no kings protests!!!”: fuck off!

It was ONE day of protest where a tiny sliver of the country protested peacefully. Good on those that actually weren’t cowards and showed up but it’s still a tiny sliver of the country. Want to see real protests? Look at European protests.

Do the no king protests ten times bigger and all day every day for the next forever until trump & cronies are done and then we’ll talk but until then, most of you are spineless uncaring cowards.

I am SO done with that shit hole country. I wouldn’t care if I could but of course the US made sure that the entire world has to bathe in Trump’s diarrhea so there is no escaping his shit

YOU guys caused this shit, bayou let it happen for decades now, FIX YOUR DAMNED SHIT.

Sorry, went on a slight tangent after having seen the 357th shit article about something shit in the US because people just don’t care.

To be factual, there have been numerous protests since January, at least 1 major nationwide protest per month from what I have been seeing anecdotally.

Also reports and estimates suggest the No Kings protest might have been one of largest nationwide protests in US history, like the Women’s Rights one in 2017. There’s another scheduled literally for today.

The US is not a monolith. It is impressive how quickly protests started after election, and how large they have been, how numerous the locations are they take place, and how sustained this has been for over 6 months now.

Not everyone agrees and will protest. Not everyone believes in protesting. Not everyone CAN protest. It is crazy though how many have and continue to. Clearly this is a very controversial and unpopular presidency.

Yeah, what you call numerous and be all impressed by is for the rest of the world kind of a “meh”

In other countries they know how to protest, I guess the American population has been brainwashed or something? If you hear “best countrah evah!” all day every day you might indeed be tempted to think your own farts smell like roses.

I don’t care that it was the largest protest ever in the country that doesn’t know how to protest. Your country is fucking my country. Your country is fucking all other countries in the world. Do something about that, please

Biggest in US history and only a day. Look at France when they tried to increase the retirement age. You guys can’t even do that for a take over of your government. Yes you need your job for health care.

This is just another inning of the great American past time of squeezing the middle class a game perfected by Reagan and started around Nixon. This is a country for the haves and got mines.

A people so stupid and uneducated they can’t figure out unregulated capitalism will just push the profits to the top and then leave the bottom rungs of the economic ladder to pay the costs. I mean we’re a country of immigrants with an administration arguing that 3rd or 4th generation immigrants are the only ones with true claims to the land.

America has always been this way. FDR briefly made things bearable. The rich, however, took affront to that, and fought really hard since then to make things fucked again. 2025 they finally won.

This is the way it used to be. Cities didn’t used to be able to sustain themselves through the birthrate alone; they were so toxic and dangerous that they would eat the populations within them, and needed a continuous flow of people from the countryside to sustain the population. Who would then, as the years went by, get fed into the maw and replaced in their turn.

Doing the whole country that way hasn’t been tried before to my knowledge, but what the hell, we might as well be the first to give it a shot.
