I use iBroadcast, it’s got a free service tier with no ads and the devs are very friendly and responsive. It’s a little wonky connecting to my Sonos, but works great otherwise.

Not a hand-crank, but I would love a pedal-powered computer.

This system has the same flaws as many other idealized ones:

nothing is impenetrable

humans always game the system

In the US, if a cheese isn’t pasteurized it has to be aged. And if it’s unaged it has to be pasteurized. There’s a slew of traditional cheeses that can’t be imported or sold here.

Left… over?

If I’m deepfrying, I set it aside and reuse it.

If I cooked something like bacon that gave off fat, I save it and use it to cook other things later.

If I was sautéing something, I used the correct amount of oil and there’s none left over.

If I was roasting something, I turn the pan drippings into a sauce.

I will say, if you’re having this problem a lot cooking meat, you’re probably not trimming the cuts properly before cooking. Trim those and throw the scraps in the freezer until the next time you make stock.

Hopefully, soft cheeses.

I had way too much going on to feel anything much about it, honestly. One toddler and another on the way. Working two jobs. Trying to find a new place to live because our landlady was bipolar.

IDK how you’re making your hummos that it’s not ending up buttery, but you’re missing out.

Look, they’re both legume patés that you spread on sandwiches. They both pair best with an acidic counterpoint. They both taste great with lettuce, or celery. I’m not coming out of nowhere with this.

IDK why everyone is saying they’re nothing alike. There’s definite similarities. But they’re different enough that you should at least try hummos yourself to see if you like it.

Also, nota bene: If you tried peanut butter in Europe, it’s very different from the peanut butter in North America.

On the contrary, my repeated failure in learning to touch-type qwerty are why I learned dvorak: it was reported to be easier to use. And it is! It’s not advanced typing, it’s Easy Mode.

Absurd? It’s literally what OP asked.

I can touch-type but only in Dvorak.

I’ll roll over that bridge when I come to it.
