If you block ads while signed in and they can detect that you’ve done so, sooner or later I expect them to start retaliating against your account. The threat of (for example) losing access to your GMail address because you blocked ads would probably be a strong deterrent.

On mobile, when I’m signed in, I get ads no matter if I use ublock origin or not. I don’t sign into youtube at all if I’m laptop.
