    This is very true in areas where it tends to be cold. But there are parts of the world that have easily hit the orange and red areas of the human heat tolerance chart:

    Basically, as humidity goes up, humans lose the ability to cool off via sweating. This is especially true when shade isn’t an option, and when physically exerting yourself, (like when riding a bike in the middle of the street). In the more extreme cases (like in the red), it becomes dangerous to be outside at all. In these areas, air conditioning is usually required by law, and public services will begin opening cooling shelters inside of public buildings for those without AC (like the homeless).
