However, I feel it’s important to shift the mindset and narrative. Cycling is only perceived as dangerous because of cars.
An accident involving a car and a person or bicycle typically is going to mean serious injury or death for the person hit by the car. The bicycle isn’t the dangerous thing in the equation it is the car.
Oh that’s exactly what I meant. Infrastructure needs to serve the safety of the cyclists, and drivers need to stop getting these ridiculous slaps on the wrist for how they behave in their 2 ton metal cages.
